As per January 1, 2007 the government of Aruba introduced a Business Turnover Tax ("Belasting op Bedrijfsomzetten" or "BBO") of 3% on the supply of goods and services rendered. The introduction of the BBO will affect both the local citizens and companies operating in Aruba. The BBO is calculated according to the realized business turnover, which is considered to be the total compensation an entrepreneur receives for the supplies of goods and services rendered in Aruba. This also includes additional costs such as the cost of packing, financing expenses, administration cost, credit card fees and the like. |
